I don't drive nor own a car so living in a quiet isolated suburb would mean relying heavily on Uber each time I am outside of the house.

By isolating it on the HELOC, you're able to pay it down a lot more efficiently.

This is one of the pockets where the market bubble is rather isolated from realities which exist everywhere else :)

If you choose to go that route, then ideally, you'll want a consultant to come in and test (to prove that the problem is/isn't isolated to the area with the obvious mold), and you may even want them to write a "scope of work" to complete the remediation (mold tear out language).  

Guessing that could cause another big market drop.Too many people isolating vs. going out getting stuff dun/having fun!

You are really catering to two different potential buyer pools and your choice may isolate one over the other.

I have accumulated some pretty good sub-contractors over the years (painters, plumbers, electricians, dry-wall), but have been struggling with GCs for permit pulling (when needed) or carpenters for small unit turnover projects, large building renovations, or even small isolated exterior fixes.

Or is that isolated to certain areas only?
