So with that said they would come back and ask you to either pay out the broker, or reduce the cost as this is a material "hidden" aspect.Finally paying an agent a commission on a lease you only pay commissions on the first contracted term and base rent.

It’s a 3 bed 2 bath -1600sqft home in the La Costa neighborhood of Carlsbad CA (san diego) and we really like the neighborhood/home.

Anything closer to the city is going to cost a lot more.

Unfortunately it is going to cost a lot of money.

Hey everyone, As some of you may know, I purchased a property on a mountaintop in Costa Rica earlier this year that we rent on Airbnb.  

Obviously the cashflow numbers look better with a fourplex, but those cost a lot more, or you’ll have to look in lower class areas. 

At 19, depending on your savings, having 4 of everything (electric, gas, boiler, hot water heater, sinks, showers, ovens, fridges - things that can cost a lot) can be a big capex surprise even in units not in need of cosmetic renovation.

I expect you would amortize it but you will still be able to deduct the cost as an expense.
