As for the interior, here is the high-level order: - Demo - Mold Remediation - Framing - Rough HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing (any order) - Drywall - Carpentry (Doors, Windows, Subfloor Repair, etc) - Major Concrete/Tile Work (Fireplaces, Showers, etc) - Painting - Flooring in the Kitchen and Baths - Cabinets/Countertops - Sinks - Finish HVAC, Plumbing - Finish Electrical - Additional Tile Work (Backsplash, etc) - Appliances - Flooring in Rest of House - Trim - Outlets/Switches/Registers/Smoke Alarms - Mirrors/Towelbars/Other Finishing Details - Cleaning Some things can be done in a different order.

The curb appeal of the home is the FIRST thing prospective buyers see and nice landscaping and decorative trim along with multi paint clors and nice stucco can make all the difference in the first impression.Also, I often move or demo walls to create a more open and/or fluid floor plan.

(you can see more details in my other post) I have rented a 30yard dumpster because everyone I talked to said that would be plenty, even the dumpster guy himself thought it would be to much.Well, once I have thrown out everything the previous owner left in the house and garage as well as demo the inside I have run out of space completely.

Maybe the demo work on the old building has not even started if this is a conversion or brown field site.The lead time might be 2 to 5 years from when you put down your deposit and when the unit you are buying will come on line.
