The last broker i used only had access to a handful of companies, and once i had my soninlaw review my coverage after a few years with them, he pointed out several unneccessary costly add ons i was not aware of so i left them and have a distrust for brokers /agents now.

However, going through the steps via LegalZoom, there are a plethora of 'options' and 'add ons' that I am not sure that I will need, or not need.

If your in a market where its hard to find a 2-4 unit you would live in, try looking for beat up SFR homes in nice areas, or a regular SFR in a nicer area and you can use an FHA 203k loan to add on/build an ADU as well...or even add on units with it

I don't call them inspections, but I regularly swap out the HVAC filters in my properties, which probably extends the useful life of the HVAC unit and it helps me monitor the shape of the inside of the property regularly.A savvy PM will offer this, either as part of their service already or as an add-on.
