Contrary to popular belief, it's not always about the money for the sellers. 

When someone has health or religious reasons for being unable to eat the type of food served at a restaurant, tell management you want to pay for a meal and explain why they don't have to go to the expense of preparing it for you.

This is more speculative, but if you have that belief and are flexible with when you wish to cash out refinance, it may make sense to put the cash up to purchase the property if you don't need the cash now and want to secure a property.

The prognostications of developers and AI people  are so tightly constrained by their beliefs that an algorithm will solve everything.

I now see how strict screening process makes a huge difference even though individual character/culture/beliefs/values and norms determine how people behave.
