The issue is that when she did make maintenance calls for me to come downstairs to fix something, it turned into a one hour convo about life, work etc so now the landlord/tenant relationship turned into a friendship.

I connected with the owner a couple months prior simply through friendship, and he called me up and said he wanted to sell and asked if we wanted to buy.

Sell to him or do it by yourself if this is a friendship you would like to keep.

The alternative option is to fight it and ruin a good friendship.

thanks DAvid crabs in a bucket- they dont want you to escape.. and those who carry storm clouds.. boy dont I KNOW about them. so i can understand having to form new friendships and connection with like minded.

Friendships can go out the door really quickly in these situations. 

Only person I would trust is friends, but if they let me down then I lose the friendship.
