You may have better luck working with a wholesaler if you want some really beat up/distressed homes.Attitude is often shown on biggerpockets out of frustration.

I have taken a few construction loans from the national HML and its quite frustrating and I only do it when my bank Credit lines are maxed and there is a project that still is profitable and I don't want to miss it..

Metaphorically speaking your hand is going to get stabbed one time and you will leave salty and frustrated hating real estate. 

You can have both accounts for a period of time until you move everything over, then you can close your Wells Fargo accounts.Frankly, Wells Fargo has been a frustration... they won't allow mobile deposit over $2,500 and you can't send a wire transfer online for over $10K -  they make you go to the branch (what a joke!!!). 

That's frustrating.

I have migrated my account from uDirectIRA to SenseFinancial and I am very happy about it so far. solo 401k do not require custodians. uDirectIRA was the custodian and everything was very slow and frustrating.

Not to knock schooling, I have an advanced degree myself, but I recognize that no one would work for me that I would want running my show.There is a lot showing in your frustration, I feel for you, but it's a challenging time in the industry and without experience and the advantage of having been through a few down cycles, you may just need to read about the down side of real estate to get to the next level.
