Most restaurant dinners exceed 2000 calories easy, with a great desert perhaps 3000, which is more than you should eat in an entire day at my age.

But I can tell you my wife and I have not eaten out when at our home base more than 10 times in the last year and NEVER dinner only lunch when we are at our subdivision working.   

Not even enough to take my self to a nice dinner.

I just went to dinner at a local “historic landmark” restaurant on many acres with ponds, streams, etc. and asked how they were making money paying for all this?

We ended stopping the business relationship for the benefits of the family and to avoid awkward Thanksgiving dinners.

Next time you go out to dinner, lift up your drinking glass, I will bet there is a "Libbey" glass Stamp on the bottom.  

Then rounds everyone up and heads back to the ranch usually around 8pm and cooks dinner and waits for me to get home 🙃.
