But I never write off anything and trying to contact the bank to see if they will postpone this sale to work out a short sale is a very slim prospect.This agent is also the agent on another property I have been working on, another property that needs a short sale and now I begin to see what the selling agent is trying to do.

Yes, some will postpone the foreclosure, some will say they've taken care of it, some will tell you to get lost...so what...some will ask you to come in and discuss more in detail.Approach: be kind, sound considerate without overdoing it.

@John Chapman I know I paint a broad brush.. but if your unlucky enough to get a house that settles 6 inchs because of soil shrinking.. then you have to deal with it.I have one left and god I hope I can get it off the books in the next 60 days.last one I sold while in escrow monster hail storm had to replace roof had to postpone sale had to pay deductible all in all cost us about 4 to 5k ... and owner got a brand new stinkin roof.
