,I was raised Catholic (though I choose not to practice anymore) and was a liturgical musician for over 30 years.

The early Catholic Church was brilliant in that way.  

I was born at Jewish General (even though i'm catholic) in Montreal and lived in Beaconsfield until I was 9.

There is a Catholic church a block away and a brand new elementary school two blocks to the south.

@Amanda Coleman  too funny I have only been working in Portland since 1992.. and still don't know PSU from U of P other than one is public and one is I think the catholic school... so yes.

Those of you that know me and listened or watched podcast 238 know I am a lowly paid Catholic School PE teacher and never made more than $80,000 combined family income in San Diego and now me and my family are financially free.  

And the Catholic diocese had the funds. 

I haven't found much of value after a move out or an eviction (well, my son and I once found a packet of what we assumed were drugs and I suppose the tenant would have found that of value but we presented the stuff to our local police instead) but I am a big one on recycling intact furniture to our local Habitat and Catholic Social Services organizations to avoid good stuff ending up in the landfill and donating canned goods to our local soup kitchen.
