I am a real estate agent and investor in the Houston market.Katy, Cypress, Spring, some parts of Houston, Conroe, Tomball, Pearland are great markets.Rent growth and appreciation is steady.These cities tend to command quality tenants, and they have great schools.Get in touch with a local agent or investor and shorten your learning curve and save you a lot of headaches as they tend to understand the market better.All the best!

Talk to those turnkey companies about the market and you'll not only learn valuable information about the market, you'll quickly get a sense for which turnkey companies have a real command of the market and which ones are simply trying to make a quick buck.

I think some parents will even co-sign to be held responsible for issues - this deters unruly students because you can contact the parents.I currently rent by the room in MN but unfortunately not close enough to campus where I can command more rent but I've done ok.
