I spoke to several attorneys and this is a pretty standard charge for the services because it is based on the amount which the courts have set as a limit on how much can be added to the lien, which an owner will have to repay to redeem.You are correct that subsequent taxes and government liens will have to be paid to get the tax deed.

But you now need to add her to the lease...and if the child is 18 years or older, then they need to be added to the lease too.But if they break up or whatever, you get to deal with this nuisance all over again because I'm sure the lady will say she's not paying rent since she moved out.
