I've been doing some browsing and the prices are looking pretty good.

Patrick,I'm just starting myself, but here is how I have managed to find a couple contacts.I was browsing through craiglist and found a home that I could tell had been fixed up for investment purposes and was being sold.

Definitely browse the forums, continue reading the blogs and listening to the podcasts, and you'll learn a great deal.  

Would this property even be one you would consider (I haven't seen it yet I was just browsing realtor.com).

I haven't found any meet-ups around the Sheboygan area, but a couple weeks ago, I actually saw your multifamily meet-up in browsing through the forums!

I can look at comps all day long but at the end of the day I don't know what the seller's motivations are/what situation they are inI have been mainly using Realtor.com because it's a super quick way for me to browse property and start to understand pricing in my market.

So I am new to REI, have probably spent about 2-3 months browsing various online forums and searching Redfin, Zillow, etc. trying to get a feel for prices in some areas.

They are deals with private sellers and the reason why you are not seeing the data to support that wholesaling is alive and well during your MLS browsing.
