I'm not quite sure why you would need a lateral bracing along the perimeter of the basement unless it is to resist the wall from out-of-plane bending.. 3 steel beams in the basement slab or for the floor above it?

Neither the dehumidifier nor the freshener will halt the march of the mold, but they will effectively mask the musty smell of what will be growing behind the mold-resistant drywall.That's all going to be very expensive.

You’ll find resistance if you take this path but perhaps more satisfaction.

Thicker drywall (5/8s instead of 3/8)Stain resistant paint or at least easy to clean up paint (this may vary cause in most causes tenants put so much holes and dents in walls, the turnover for rentals usually require repainting anyways)Easy to clean back splash (less grout = less stuck dirt, so consider the size material)Countertop type (granite and marble stains and require to be polished and resealed eventually; quartz is stronger and stain resistant, but cost twice as much)For appliances, I suggest going to local appliance stores not big box stores.

I like the more European approach of get three bids and take the middle when basing the decision solely on price and not value.For the record though, if Adolf Hitler came to me and asked for a bid to build a concentration camp it would most certainly be met with resistance.
