CO detector, 10 year battery life is required in California.Most detectors are sensitive to dust and creating emitting occasional nuisance sound even you replaced the battery.Chk on fire resistant door burning time and escape hanging ladder requirements( more than 1 story) in your area.

I like the idea but find that most PMs are very resistant to change of any sort (this is a step above the usual).As an example - 100 unit building, $10/unit cost: monthly expenses = $1,000 --> annual expenses (or decrease in NOI) = $12,000 --> valuation difference on property (assuming 5% cap rate) = $240K.

The wearlayer should be a minimum of 12 mils and it NEEDS a finish coating of an Aluminum Oxide or a Ceramic Bead for scratch resistance not just urethane.
