Also you may not have 240v so large stove may not work, instead just use 120 induction cooktop, available in Amazon for few hundred only.

You will also need to install cabinetry and countertops, and you may want to consider adding a small stove or oven if you plan to do more extensive cooking in the space.

Now, I UPGRADE my duplexes not with swimming pools mind you, but with microwaves over the stove, granite countertops, replace small and out-dated baseboards, replace carpet with luxury vinyl floors, upgrade to LED light fixtures, up-date faucets, new-used appliances, six panel interior doors and contrast paint (white ceiling, Light beige or grey walls and all trim white).

I have 4 student rentals ( 24 beds in all) i pay the water and heat and the students pay electric ( the heat is gas and i control the thermostat) the stove and hot water heater are electric.
