I currently work in IT and want to take some of my roots with me before I jump head first into real estate. 

Maybe it is not as close as it looks in the picture, but the roots can destroy your foundation or grow into sewer or drain tile.

I'm rooting for you.

In my area they are basically root cellars or the equivalent of a crawl space, so think of it that way in determining whether or not it is worth it to do anything. 

Unfortunately lack of fortitude, based on fear, is the root problem for landlords having to deal with this situation.The dog is not a service animal and the landlord should take swift action to evict.

With a cousin deeply rooted in Real Estate and my parents building their retirement fund via flipping housing, I have been fortunate to learn first hand how beneficial real estate truly is. 

Ergo the recommendation of a local community owned business bank that does not have the 4 home rule or 10 home rule.. they hold all their own paper.. and they look to loan to those with deep roots in the community and are successful.

I really detest the idea but I don't see any way around it politically or economically.The root of the problem was caused by the government several years ago when they passed legislation letting activists organizations like ACORN apply pressure on lenders to force them to write loans that should NEVER have been written.

Many of these so-called bankers were aristocrats from other nations and had no roots in this country.
