I would also be surprised if attic venting alone was the issue, but it could be due to temperature difference between the ceiling and the room.

Of course we're not for the faint of heart, with high temperatures in summer, but thankfully we have good air conditioning in most homes, beautiful lakes and the Sacramento River.

@Dave Spooner I think people may be leaving the Northeast for a few reasons:Harsh winters, since temperatures and snow can be intense in the region.Job availability is another factor since many companies are avoiding the region.The Northeast is also home to many cities with a high cost of living, making housing affordability challenging, especially as people lose their jobs.

@Daniel FelixMy advice to to speak with a licensed HVAC tech and have them come out and check current temperatures in each room with existing unit, as long as it is still operational.
