I got a $2700 water bill from the city and it just didnt make sense at all, basically $300 of it made sense bu the other $2400 was seemingly added on, we have been fighting with the city of Baltimore for over a year, even got a city local councilman involved but it was literally like "fighting city hall" they ended up charging a credit card that was on the account for the full $2400..Something is definitely fishy about this but we tried everything.

In fact the usage was so high the city personally called us after we entered the usage online & sent out a tech to test the lines, meter etc bu nothing found.Then we discovered she was taking in washing for the neighborhood so she pays a large water bill without complaint.

Real estate brokers typically don't obtain a purchase contract or option in their name, and sell the contract or option.This is not to say that doing the above as a business model does not require a real estate license (state requirements, laws and interpretations vary), bu,t that if you don't appear to be doing what real estate broker's do you are much less likely to be sued, accused, or catch the eye of the regulatory authorities.

Our sales are done by the Sheriff or a Deputy, and we need 10% at time of sale and the balance is due within 10 days of confirmation of sale, the judge sees the the transcript from the sale, and can call it unjust, and send it back to sale (doesn't happen often) and usually i'm the only bidder, heck, who can go at 10 AM on a Wednesday the opening bids are published on the Attorney's websites for the most part, and with some exception the ones that dont publish them will tell you with a phone call, or email, bu thats at 4:00-5:00 pm the day before.

John,BU and Northeastern both have huge international programs, near them might be a place to look, however it is very competitive in those areas and the boom in rents over the last 5 years has driven the prices way up.

Of course you're also not paying rent, building equity, etc.I wouldn't make major decisions totally based on this, but the NYTimes has an interesting rent vs. buy tool -- https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2014/upshot/bu...I have several friends who have bought 1 and 2 bedroom condos, lived in them for under 5 years and then successfully rent them out and now live elsewhere.
