After finishing The Ohio State University where I majored in Real Estate and Accounting then serving 2 years in the US Army I opened my Real Estate office in Norfolk, Va. in 1959.

For instance, the Army made a rule that soldiers cannot have tattoos on their forearms, but soldiers that already had forearm tattoos would be grand-fathered-in, and counted as an exception to the rule (meaning they could keep their tattoos), but the rule would apply to others  that didn't already have sleeve tattoos AFTER the rule went into effect. 

I entered the Army and was able to leverage the equity to grow a small portfolio which I eventually sold off to flip homes in the Dallas area.A few years ago I exited the military and knew I wanted to be involved in some shape or form in the commercial real estate industry.

It's a bit of a Swiss army knife of a field, so definitely applicable in lots of areas.

Wake up at 4:45 am and stumble out the door to try to make it to my Army workout on time.

(do some searches :-), we like to get stuff second-hand...not just Goodwill or Salvation Army kinda places, but unique stores where you can find quirky old antiques for a good price.

You also have Treasure Island, Madeira Beach, Indian Rocks beaches to check out which again are all along the gulf strip. 

Been full time now since I left army in Jan.

Especially if California Indian casinos are still closed.
