Our STR duplex (my other RE is LTR) has been a STR since 2000 or 2001 (purchased in 1999) and is in an area that is virtually all STRs (Mission Beach: 1 block from the beach).If this applies to STRs that have been long established the entire market in Mission Beach will be thrown for a loop. 

So, mission accomplished!
