I work as a Social Worker in a hospital in Atlantic City; not sure if you are aware of our economy here, but we are one of the most depressed counties in the United States.

If our total existence ends when we die, that is rather depressing, don't you think?

And how it is set up for multiple failures.It is much easier to just continue to play along, and that's what most will do.That being said, I am thinking of a move before hyperinflation gets the next depression going.Perhaps the UK or China would be a good choice?

She would be a depression person so knows that value of a buck.

I wasn't around back then but the feeling I get is that people were tired of the dark days of the depression so they went for more color in the happy days of the post-war era.

Depression will likely be more psychological, I think.

There are many ways to skin this cat-- the trick as a borrower is to show the lender the value they need to see so they don't artificially depress your values. 

My parents were born around the same time Buffet and Munger were born, which means they all grew up during the Great Depression.
