@Llewelyn A. has a great story of a friend who invested out of state and got out priced of the city because his rent kept going up but his investment didn't keep up..Your father is also right closer to home you can tackle problems and learn...There are also programs you can get into and area's you can invest in other then downtown, bedsty, williamsburg ect. where you can still do pretty good...
