I think it is great you are realizing your strengths and weaknesses and then building a business around that.

I'm concentrating right now on my weaknesses.

Both have their strengths and weaknesses and I think a diversified portfolio should have both.

The water works, it is just if the washer is filling up or something, the faucet will be very weak for those few minutes.

Banks are like individual investors in that they have their own strategy and strengths/weaknesses.

There are many ways to make profit in real estate, but not all correspond to someone's strengths and weaknesses and that's when investors get into trouble. 

More and more capital flows in, until eventually the smart money flows out (at least in terms of reinvesting etc), and the weak are either wiped out, or in a very non strategic position.
