Yazoo clay in a 1 inch block with zero water.. if you take that one inch block and add water it can expand out to 12 inchs by 12 inchs this is why the pipes burst all over the place in the city of Jackson..

The building stock is like all the other Chicago urban core burbs, so expect lots of 1950's and 60's construction with galvanized pipes, flat roofs, boilers and outdated electrical.
