Ultimately I didn't learn too much I didn't already know after taking a few courses and reading a hand-full of books, and with most of people I've met and tried to talk with, it's been a pretty common experience that conversations go a lot like that.

The answers are individual specific; people can tell you what they'd do, but without a thorough knowledge and understanding YOU it won't have much relevance.Here's my suggestion - read books, search for biographical information, and become familiar with people who have accumulated a good size portfolio of real property, to see how their ambitions, experiences, knowledge, and personal attributes align with yours.

Then you can read a more in-depth book like The Book On Rental Property Investing by Brandon Turner or The Unofficial Guide to Real Estate Investing by Spencer Strauss.2.
