I don't understand why any person on this planet would torture their self with a single family home.Guessing the OP's scenario, I need to tell another one of my short stories.

Also, what if we as a species ever have to face an "Interstellar" type situation where we need to re-home the human race to another planet... how much will your property in Oklahoma be worth then?

I'll be spending every cent I have on me and my SO - Happy to help out the kids while I'm alive, but they need to learn to be self sufficient, independent and productive members of the planet.

I would like to agreed with everyone giving comments concerning those in need of Section 8 assistance for housing; in that, you have good, bad, and indifferent tenants no matter what their income level on this planet the poor, the needy, the meek, or the proud.

Rima and I keep people out of trouble with the highly-regulated toxic and hazardous materials - asbestos, lead, VOCs, soil and groundwater contamination, plus indoor air quality and the almost unregulated mold.  

For most of us we are only going to be investing for about 30 years on this planet from age 30 to 60. 

Amazon didnt have a positive financial report until its 14th year and Jeff Bezos is niw the richest man on the planet.

Every hubby on the planet will boast they make the decisions come and waste your time go home only to have the wife tell them they are not doing that.. so that happens a few times when your a young agent like I was you soon learn its a waste of time to show one leg of a two legged deal property.. 

Stronger bank balance sheets (with significantly less toxic investment assets), manageable household leverage, and personal savings rates are higher.
