What kind of idiot landlord supported by an idiot property manager WOULDN'T take steps to enhance the security of this building at the perception of the slightest need, let alone an extraordinary situation like this?

It all depends on the lifestyle you are accustomed to and your perception of money in your life.Personally, I'm really passionate about the idea of stable future and certain benefits for my children.

@Laura Cardenas Couldn’t Agree more, I definitely have a different perception after reading the posts.

There are people who not only make a lot of money in it, but also satisfy a societal need.

You should be consulting with your agent on their perception of the situation and how to proceed.

Let's keep learning / deviating our perceptions, and give our experience, good and bad, as knowledge to the next folks with the right mindset. 

Lolthats very perceptive.. were would those markets be without all these highly organized sales organizations bringing in money from all over the country and the world.. were would they be with only local organic investors. ???

It’s hard to hear this perception shift, as to me it seems like we are just building on our foundations.

What may be skewing your perception is your think of Self-Employed persons, say a plumber, electrician etc., who strike out on own as a "business".
