Would 1/2" furring strips be better with insulation between the strips?

In this type of location, nobody can find accommodation at the drop of a hat.

@David Famiglietti.If I can put two spouses and one lover on the loan, and those same two spouses and one lover, as well as the lover's spouse, on title all as joint tenants, and we pretend for a minute that I don't have a magical robe and wizard hat that I put on while putting this all together, then anyone can do it.Just call around until you find someone that's done it before, if at all possible. :)

Plus the owners were the one who lived in the lower unit it so it's done up to the 9's - granite, hard wood, stainless steel, cable wired in the walls, high hats, etc....

Put a lender's hat on as if you were loaning the 15K considerable a reasonable amortization that matches your loan, say 15 years.

An all-in-one solution may be convenient, but I'd be worried about sacrificing quality if someone is wearing too many hats.
