I've lived in larger houses when I was in my early 20's and there was never any fridge or cabinet space, issues with dirty dishes, etc. etc.

As you alluded, a rooming house can be lucrative, but it will be more administratively involved than letting apartments.We rent furnished rooms and provide dishes, cookware and appliances in our kitchens.  

We don't have satellite or cable and have the cheapest phone plan on the market. 

I always planned on setting up satellite REI clubs around, and this might be a good start.

I have a "cleaning and inventory checklist" that goes room by room describing what needs to be cleaned and restocked (how many towels, where, how many extra rolls of TP, dish soap, paper towels etc etc).

good thunderstrom rips off part of the roof floods the house no one around one month later its a petri dish of mold  LOL. 

@Vinh Huynh you can also buy a cheap dish washer install it of you don't already have it and raise rent 50$ a month I'm sure there is similar strategies I'd love to hear some
