If I have a married couple vs two roommates who do not know each other, and if qualifications like employment/income/credit/background/rental history are about the same, and it boils down to the married couple feels like a more stable and hassle free tenants and the roommate strangers not so much...and I wonder how close to the line of familial status that is, or not at all.kind of like the landlord in Los Angeles who decided not to rent to non-English speaking applicants, but got into trouble because a judge ruled that discrimination of applicants who speaks other languages is the same as discrimination based on national origin.

Either self-manage like many on here do, or hire an inexpensive offshore PM who works US hours & speaks eloquent English (that’s what I do).

Highly intelligent, extremely hard workers, but definitely not the same English as American speakers use.

It may take a while, but you will likely find someone that has very reasonable prices and is responsive but doesn’t speak English well and so struggles to get higher priced jobs.

But my dad always thought the bank teller did it because the laundry owner had trouble with English, and did not complain when it first happened.As far as needing a business ID, that's not a big deal.
