Take photographs.Typical things I see tenants overlook: cleaning the oven, cleaning under the burners on electric ranges (the top usually lifts off), cleaning the range hood (the filters can usually be cleaned in the dishwasher), cleaning the floor under the refrigerator and range (be careful in moving appliances to not scrape the floor), cleaning out the air ducts (take off the heat register and vacuum it out), cleaning the window tracks, stuff missed behind doors or in the deep reaches of cabinets.Give the landlord your forwarding address.
