I have been reading everything I can, listening to every podcast, I joined my local REIA association and trying to learn as much as I can.I have an strong practice as an Architect, (not licensed in the USA just in case) design, and construction. 

Newer guy here also curious about splitting up land / associated issues.

Take that $20k and use a portion to join the local REIA Real Estate Investor Association meeting and get a membership, find a local mentor and look for smaller deals and/or a partner.

yeah 10-20k discount doesn't sound like much for a flood damaged property.I saw a realtor in Houston  here on BP mention that Houston Association of Realtors (HAR) added a feature to search for Harvey damaged homes , not sure if there is something similar in FL.

The only addresses I've been able to find are with the associated property and nothing about where the tax bills are sent or any other owner info.
