Finding information on the financial side of many markets hasn't been a major problem so far, but I'm struggling to find accurate and up-to-date Real Estate adjacent statistics such as population projections, tenant demographics, crime, main movers in local economies, environmental risks, etc all stratified by city (or even better neighborhood!).

I was looking at purchasing beach front raw land down in here in FL recently and while everyone loved my initial business plan, every layer or due diligence displayed another 100k of Capitol that I didn't anticipate because of zoning, environmental, and regulatory restrictions regarding development of said land.I know you own the land, but have you researched the regulations surrounding the base?

And of course, if economics is not the only play, there's the environmental factor that is good for our own conscience and could be marketed to a tenant who cares about this stuff.One good thing that solar does is, whether you decide to go solar or not, is that you will be on a path to make the houses more energy efficient; better weatherization, stop leaks, better insulation.

I think the best and most objective source to date is the PWC Emerging Real Estate Trends report.There are reasons I chose not to go with Austin, Atlanta, and other hot markets of the sort after looking deeper into the environmental factors.
