Some properties are turnkey where factors can determine whether your knowledge base will suffice or you need a more in-depth view others are heavy deep renovations where it would be a best investment protection to know what you don’t know; possible septic issues, roof, mechanical electric... then it’s best to get a pro if your a pro or have one.

@Giovanni Brown Get an inspection report plus get skilled tradespeople to inspect the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC if you suspect there are any problems, on an older home there might be.

We had to redo all the plumbing, add a ton of electrical, fix lots of drywall, convert one room from a large recreation room to a bedroom, bathroom, closet, and laundry room, completely redo another bathroom, replace windows and exterior doors, add a kitchen where there wasn't one, paint entire house and flooring.

You did not specify electric or gas or the size of the unit by I use them often because:-For smaller units they are cheaper and easy to install-Take up very little space-Are efficientThe negatives:-May require a breaker reconfigure as the usually require 2 30amp breakers-In bigger properties with a long run say to the other side of the house, it takes a minute or 2 to heat up

Due to the specialization of the plumbing and electrical, etc, I will have an above average outlay in cash compare to office/retail space.
