I want to return to a restaurant some goods we believe may have been stolen.  

Oil, gold, diamonds, wood and other natural resources were stolen from the earth and sold for lots of money.

Not doing a prelim is like buying a brand new Mercedes that cost $60,000 from a guy on Craigslist for $10,000, only to find out that while you were sleeping on the night of purchase, a tow truck came to take your car and a sheriff was knocking on your door to arrest you for having a stolen vehicle.

However, at the Housing Authority, where I work, I am just tired of them being stolen.

If it’s vacant to long it’ll get stolen

Even if you put these things in they will be stolen again over night.

If it was stolen I would say “that’s why I require you to have renters insurance.  

If your contractor had tools stolen this is something he should claim on his insurance for sure.

If they had not squandered. misspent and stolen our money for decades, the payback would be much higher.
