For example, if I was looking to buy a property, but didn't have it under contract, but I wanted some expert advice - i'd feel a lot better talking about in the PRO forum so the seller wouldn't happen to stumble across me talking about it (unless, of course, he was also a pro bp member!)

So glad that I stumbled on BP....awesome site!

I am always looking to learn something new and stumbled upon Bigger Pockets while doing so.

Personally, I did a lot of research online (market rents for locations), attended section 8 landlord briefing, familiarize myself with the Tenant/Landlord Act and the rest was trial and error.However since stumbling upon bigger pockets, I read a lot of the postings good and bad regarding various landlord/tenant issues.

I was searching for information about investing and stumbled upon this site.

Just curious as I stumbled across this post, lurking on BP.  

I would love to meet any BP's in the area( since I just missed the Portland BP networking event at Rogue... ) to learn from, and bounce ideas off of.Before stumbling upon BP I planned on finding a duplex in the area to expand my Real Estate portfolio, but after hearing more about wholesaling, I am no longer sure what I want...

However, I was very fortunate to stumble across BiggerPockets while searching for podcasts and now I am very excited to be part of the BP community!
