Comcast has a 1tb per month data cap before they charge you extra in my area so if I ever need to download all the data at once to restore a backup (i.e. if someone steals the server), it will probably take a couple of weeks (download speeds are higher) and I'll be charged extra on my internet bill.

IE - Do we raise money for the down payment and use a commercial lender for the rest, or do we raise the whole amount?

Alliance Restoration is incredible, but this may be too small a project for them in the summer (busiest time of year).  

You will never be able to satisfy them fully but this is a awesome way to show your working to restore. 

I tend to buy my appliances from Restore, which should be national as they are a store associated with Habitat for Humanity.
