My "Critical Mass" plan is strictly buy-and-hold and I have been able to create a plan on paper which allows me to obtain that goal. 

Since this isn't a financial gain for them (they already have the sale completed, so to speak), it's just paper pushing and not worth their time.

That way I can have the correct paper trail in my QuickBooks account of what I invested in the business and what the business paid for with it.

But I also like the market I'm in (DFW) as it has strong economic fundamentals, so I'll probably keep some of my rentals here even if on paper I could increase my cashflow elsewhere.

And those rules can vary lender-by-lender since they carry the paper themselves.
