Home visits by the counselors are routinely done both to ensure the vets are paying their share of the rent and utilities and to check out the condition of the property.  

I feel uncomfortable doing that to the tenant who is under the impression he'll be buying the property, even if the extra monthly payments that he's made are returned to him by the owner.

Evans sometimes brokers/agents feel uncomfortable rejecting or not helping when they do not want certain types of business.

Are you uncomfortable with buying a house you havent seen the inside of??

One thing to think you are being honest with yourself, quite another to put it out there for critique by more seasoned investors.Putting my numbers on the web is more than a little uncomfortable.

Seeking a management company that manages your type of asset (SFH, apartment complexes) can be a good strategy if you feel uncomfortable managing your own.  

I see a lot of listings that say "no showings until a contract has been accepted," and I assume that's because they don't want to freak out the tenants.But once you have a contract in place, you have every right to do your due diligence, and that includes inspecting the interior of the house.I would be uncomfortable with this situation unless the price is so low that you can afford to rebuild the house in a worst case scenario.But that's me.

I posted this message because several items you mentioned made me a little uncomfortable such as the tenant warranty.
