Though I've done lots of virtual assisting so far, I'm finding that in my area there's not as much of a need for virtual assistant stuff, but there is a need for someone to be local for "back up" in case there is an issue in person, as many owners live too far away to respond. $300 is a base rate for strictly being on call, and if I get called in or do other tasks, I will charge hourly.

@Linda Weygant @Kevin Coggins when he mentions negative gearing that is a distinctly Australian term.. for whatever its worth you will not hear US investors mention that or even know what it means. internet is a wild thing.. when you can create all these persona's.
