In a local Facebook group, landlords and prospective tenants advertise their units or looking to rent a unit however today there was a discussion on there of tenant's complaining that most landlords in the area don't allow pets and several people said they registered their pet(s) as service animals and insist they can't be denied because of it.

I was able to do that once ( had separate genders want to rent but was able to deny because my daughter was there and she didn't want it) but otherwise it doesn't bother me. i have a 2 family student rental, not mixed, but the 1st floor is boys and 2nd is girls.
