I could see a sticky situation occurring if you were trying to be the appraiser on a deal you are helping a client buy/sell.

The sticky point here is when you went into the public to get permission to rent your property out to someone else, now you're playing their game...why did you have an inspector come out in the first place?

Seems as though the sticky part here is how they occupy the space relative vs. ownership % vs. payment for purchase.
