Offer to help some one out on a few deals (scouting properties, helping with rehab) for free just to gain knowledge and relationships.

I went by to scout it out, and many houses looked to be vacant, grass was not cut, little piles of garbage on the lawn.I may be wrong Nancy, as I am very new at this, but I got a good feeling about this.

I would like to make money property scouting for investors as I have been finding many deals in the area.

Zillow shows my investment zip code (which is not all of San Diego) as over 10% and neighborhood scout shows San Diego as 8.3% which it lists as 9 out of 10 appreciation in america.  

I work as a location manager and location scout in the film industry.
