What sort of alternate proposals could I offer up to him?  

And  How should i propose my offer ? 

Hello Guys, So a old friend found out I was an investor in real estate and proposed a deal to go in 50/50 on a few properties.

Even if the legislation is successful I wouldn't expect it to be legal anytime sooner than a year from now.  

I am a numbers guy so my question is how do I come up with a number, a specific number, to propose to a seller.
