Just finished the "Bidding to Buy" book and would love to connect with somebody experienced in auction foreclosures.

As well, I do not rent any property that I myself wouldn't live in, which includes location, finishes and repairs. 

We bought a two-unit in the union street historic district (city) and are just finishing up the final touches on the bottom unit, will be ST renting that one while I begin renovations on the upper unit that will be MT rental.

Some will finish basements with direct entry to either LTR or STR.  

My BIL is using an interior designer to help with both some fixture, finish and furniture selection on his house in Las Vegas.  

The biggest challenge on this deal was getting it finished because my contractor got put in jail right at the end.

I don't know about section 8, but where I am finished basements are pretty much the norm and they have bedrooms. 

For example, if you want to attract a high-income earner, you can't, in general, buy in a low-income neighborhoods or rehab using low quality materials and finishes.

General contractor in business for 40+ years with an opportunity to acquire someone else's unfinished rehab for ~$2M with an ARV of $4M - $6M depending on whether we finish the existing project or tear down and start over with a better design.
