We manage over 500 doors in Detroit now but only offer it to folks we work with on the acquisition side. 

A neighbor 2 doors down also cited had added a staircase between his first-floor apartment to the basement apartment legalized and with the crazy rents in the area, collected rents now legally for both.

Just make sure the numbers make sense and you only focus on the number of doors.

If you want more doors and pretty good cashflow I would say duplex.

Back to the kitchens, I especially like the  (before) galley kitchen with the tile floor, and if there was a door opening at both ends at ADA specified widths that would be a nice feature too.Good Luck!
