I am thinking about purchasing a house in Tucson that would need a remodel.  

I will let an expert like @Michael Plaks or @Brandon Hall answer that, because there may be limitations when remodeling a non-rented building.

The place has already been remodeled and is in good shape and will be my first buy and hold property so I'm looking for any advice from the BP world out there.  

My business partners and I own a home remodeling business in the central IL area. 

I've done a lot of remodeling but never a roof.

If you have great credit and good income, you could borrow money on a personal loan, remodel the whole building to increase value, and then refinance to pay off the personal loan.

Hello guys,I am curious if anyone else has had this experience: I have a property (SFR, 3bd/2bth, 1300sf, recently remodeled) in the Sunol neighborhood of San Jose which rents for about $3,800 per month. 

I am going to start a significant remodel of my house in Santa Monica and wanted to maximize all possible rebates, grants or energy rebates that are available for new roofs, windows, appliances, insulation, landscaping..ect.I have a basic list (local municipality and appliance rebates) but didn't know if there was anything that I was missing or didn't know about...possibly other agencies?

They also have remodeled a huge old newspaper building into a retirement home, new Casey’s gas station, a bunch of tear downs.

I do need to get the house appraised since I've done some upgrades to it; like remodeling the kitchen, adding solar panels on the home, and other little cosmetic work.
