I have enough money saved up to pay for a house using an FHA loan but I feel like I would be screwed if the house was damaged and I had to pay thousands out of pocket to fix it.

Will they try to make unapproved modifications to the unit and then leave you with the damage when they move out?

We moved our properties to USAA and had no issues in spite of a claim shortly before the move for quite a bit of damage from a burst water heater.

Example 3 A large storm comes along and damages the building and secondarily damages both your personal property and the tenants personal property inside both units. 

Hello BP community,I have a condo in a multifamily building where the tenant below me has water damage in their bathroom ceiling.

Explain that she is scaring the other renters and damaging the property, which is unacceptable.

You don't do anything to hedge against the possibility of damages? 

.- Install new windows throughout (18), install new trim and replace rotted or damaged framing as necessary.- Install new white vent covers throughout.- Install (brushed nickel?)

Our insurance covers the cost of replacing/repairing tornado damage, so that isn't a big concern for most investors.
