Folks who owned a truck and transported gravel, custom cabinet makers, all kinds of sales people who had no work when the industry almost completely stopped building.

There's also a train station right there, so renters like the proximity to transportation.

Essentially, driving for dollars is when you get into your car (or any form of transportation really) and drive around the neighborhoods looking for distressed properties, properties that look like they are vacant, etc.  

Have you researched the department of transportation to see if traffic is increasing,decreasing, or staying the same year over year?

I think that there are a couple of things that stand out to me:1) You only spend $1300 IN TOTAL outside of transportation and housing related expenses.

In Piscataway you're going to want to pick an area that serves a purpose, like close to RU or transportation to NYC, etc.Those are the primary drivers of real estate there.

Hopefully close to public transportation and a school nearby.

I am seeing an influx of NY workers that are moving here because they realize we have benefits of convenient transportation and a more spacious environment that meets the quality of living some would prefer as opposed to an overcrowded high paced environment in the city.
